Elections on Oct. 4 in Greece: How would you vote?

On Sunday, October 4, Greeks are going to the polls to vote in a snap election called by the current Prime Minister, Costas Karamanlis. The latest opinion polls give the main opposition party Pasok 36.7% of the vote against 29.8% for the party now in power, New Democracy.

According to an October 1st article from the Reuters news service “[a] government ban on publishing polls for the two weeks leading to the ballot, to protect Greek voters from being manipulated, has angered polling agencies and the press. With no fresh numbers out, Greeks find less amusement in what was once a favourite Greek pastime – political debate at the dinner table.”

So we are doing our own poll.

If you could vote in this election right now, how would you vote?

  • Pasok (34%)
  • New Democracy (28%)
  • None of the Above (17%)
  • Popular Orthodox Rally party (LAOS) (11%)
  • Communist Party (4%)
  • Coalition of the Radical Left Syriza (4%)
  • Don’t care (2%)
