Elections on Oct. 4 in Greece: How would you vote?

On Sunday, October 4, Greeks are going to the polls to vote in a snap election called by the current Prime Minister, Costas Karamanlis. The latest opinion polls give the main opposition party Pasok 36.7% of the vote against 29.8% for the party now in power, New Democracy.

Senator Dukakis? A Snap Poll

The Massachusetts House of Representatives voted on Thursday to give Governor Deval Patrick the power to appoint a temporary replacement to the U.S. Senate for the late Edward M. Kennedy. One of the names being mentioned for the position is former Massachusetts Governor and one-time U.S. presidential candidate Michael Dukakis.

The Got Greek? National Student Survey is the first national online survey of American university students of Greek ancestry where you can share your views and opinions about your background and how it relates to everything from food and music, to family, friends and dating. You can sign up here to take the Got Greek? online student survey. Participation in the Next Generation Initiative’s national student survey is open to every student of Greek heritage who is a student at a college or university in the United States. Whether you are 1/16th or 100% Greek, this study is about you. So, whether you’re first-, second-, third-, fourth- or even fifth-generation — or if your last name is more like Fey than Stephanopoulos — as long as you are an undergraduate or graduate student of Hellenic heritage studying at a university in the United States — we want to hear how you feel about being (even a little bit) Greek.
